Obviously I did not drag this deer out of the woods myself. Rebekah helped, as well as Darren and Chris (pictured) Johnson.

 Here is another twist to the story. About 10 days after I shot this deer a buddy called and told me about some pictures of a big deer on buckmasters.com. After viewing the pictures it was obvious it was the same deer.  Subsequently I contacted Ryan Maggi who took these pictures. Ryan was kind enough to give me copies. Ryan had been watching this deer for 3 years. It was shot about a mile from where these pictures were taken.

This deer and the big deer above hung out together and it was photographed along with the deer above. This huge 7 pointer was shot at 6:45 in the morning. The big 9 pointer above was shot at 10AM the same day no more than 100 yards away from where the 7 pointer was shot.  jd3.jpg (113855 bytes)
